1. BELT
Trousers with belt loops need a belt! Not only do they hold your trousers up but they also help to add shape to your body and finish the look.
Top tip: Match your belt with your shoes. Brown shoes require a brown belt. And the same goes for black. If you’re wearing casual shoes, black is normally the safest combination.
2. WALLET
Keeping cards, notes and loose change in your pocket may be easy, but it’s not safe or stylish. A good, leather wallet is an accessory that every guy needs and it should be seen as an investment that you will have for several years. To get the most mileage from your wallet, go for a Secrid miniwallet where industrial design and fashion come together in a pocket-sized essential. Made with great care for quality, people and the environment. A new type of wallet that protects your cards and money, but also your privacy.
Top tip: This will hold your cards and your notes neatly without becoming bulky in your pocket. Avoid zips and velcro if you want to go for a mature and classic style.
3. BAG
Gone are the days where guys were almost too embarrassed to wear a bag. It’s no longer a man bag it’s now a style essential. Gym bag or work bag, you need somewhere to put your stuff!
Top tip: Much like the wallet, keep it simple to really add a sophisticated and contemporary edge to your look. Personally, a premium backpack is the best way to go.
4. FLATCAP
Hats have cemented themselves as eternally stylish men’s accessories. They’re also practical and suitable for any season. Rain, hail, shine or snow, a hat will keep you warm, dry and sheltered from the sun all while looking great. On top of that, hats can finish off any casual, classy or eclectic ensemble in a simple yet inspired way.
Top tip: As a general rule of thumb for how to wear a flat cap, I don’t recommend trying to get too matchy-matchy. If your hat is the same exact color as your suit or the print on your shirt, it just looks like you tried too hard.
5. SUNGLASSES
"I even wear my sunglasses in the rain..." The perfect way to hide away the bags under your eyes and also to up your style game. Keep the novelty, neon sunglasses for your lads summer holiday (or just bin them) and go for classic styles like the aviator. Invest in sunglasses. You appreciate good quality sunglasses more and although you tell yourself “I’d definitately lose them” surprisingly I have the same pair years now.
Top tip: Don’t buy sunglasses as a trend and they will never go out of fashion!
